Our garden gates will officially re-open for the season on Tuesday, April 22 to coincide with one of our favorite days of the year - Earth Day! Come prepared to stroll through our retail benches and find all you’ll be wanting to add to your garden spaces this season - imagine the possibilities!
Think Spring? Think Plant Patterns with Roy - First in a Series of Four workshops
Our Speaker Series kicks off for the 2025 Season with Northwind’s co-owner, Roy Diblik, and his ever popular Plant Pattern/Grid System approach to planting. Originally introduced by Roy in his 2014 release, The Know Maintenance Perennial Garden , Roy will do a deep dive into his gardening approach and why certain plants respond to others the way they do and how you can experiment with creating healthy and thriving plant communities in your own gardens!
This first workshop with Roy will include a Powerpoint presentation on contemporary plant patterns and their cultural care.
Antique and Garden Sale
Our Antique and Garden Sale returns for Season Two to another impressive lineup of dealers and special guest pop-ups over the two-day event. Gates open both days at 10 and will close at 4:00. Parking will be located in our West Field- Accessible parking will be available at our east entrance and our team will guide you to those select spaces. Accessible parking will be limited due to our dealer booths.

Join Sharilyn as she shares some of her holiday decorating ideas for your wreaths, containers and tablescapes!
This annual workshop has become a bit of a tradition here and Sharilyn hopes to share some fresh ways for you to deck your halls or any other areas of your home this holiday season!

Leo, from Bladeworks, will be at Northwind the first Saturday of every month thru October, 10-4pm. Leo can sharpen anything that needs a fine edge! Garden tools, knives, pencils (no wait, not pencils)! Leo’s rates are very reasonable ($1/inch) and his work is top-notch!
Garden to Vase with Samantha from Olbrich
Join us in welcoming Samantha Peckham, Director of Horticulture, Olbrich Botanical Gardens Madison, WI, to learn how to bring the beauty of your gardens indoors. From selecting and cutting, to preserving and arranging, Samantha will discuss tips and tricks that you can use to create seasonal combinations for your home.
